Seychelles

The Republic of Seychelles is a group of 155 islands in the Indian ocean, at the North-East of Madagascar and 1500Km of the African continent coast. Neighbor islands include Zanzibar, Mauritius, Reunion, Comoros and Mayotte. It is the less populated country of Africa. It is also the smallest nation in the world issuing its own currency. The growth of Seychelles has been fuelled by tourism predominantly, and the tuna fishing industry. With a GDP per capita of $18,400 in 2007, Seychelles has moved into the group of upper-middle income countries.

The type of company is the International Business Corporation (IBC). The popularity of Seychelles as an offshore jurisdiction has grown tremendously in the last five years and it has now achieved the status of an Offshore Financial Center (OFC). The offshore industry is regulated by the Seychelles International Business Authority (SIBA).
